Skaidi, located on the east side of the valley, was one of the main mining communities. You will find a mine shaft, equipment and serveral ruins.

Birtavarre has many signposted hiking and biking trails, and available maps.

Gorsa - Bridge Canyon Waterfall

If you're an adventure seeker or a nature lover planning a trip to Northern Norway, then Gorsabrua in Kåfjorddalen is a must-visit destination. This spectacular bridge offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and is sure to leave you in awe of Norway's natural beauty. Gorza Canyon is northern Europes deepest canyon (App. 150 meters), and a huge 140 meters tall waterfall named Gorzi falls to the bottom of the canyon. A pedestrian bridge ( Gorsabrua ) spans 53 meters over the canyon and with more than 140 meters over to the canyon river. Gorsabrua - Gorsa Bridge connects the landscapes on each side of Gorza canyon. In summer season there will be bungee jumping several weekends. Gorsabrua is situated in Kåfjorddalen, a picturesque valley in the Troms og Finnmark region of northern Norway. The bridge is easily accessible from Tromsø, the largest city in Northern Norway.
